Tactical Voting for Plaid Ruled Out by Welsh Greens

Communiqué de presse publié le 3/02/15 23:10 dans Europe par pour

NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE The leader of the Green Party in Wales has rejected suggestions that Green Party supporters should cast their vote for Plaid Cymru in General Election seats that Plaid stands a good chance of taking. The comments came following suggestions from former Plaid Cymru leader, Dafydd Wigley, (now Lord Wigley) that Welsh people in England should vote for the Green Party. Welsh Greens leader, Pippa Bartolotti, in rejecting the same option being pursued said to her members; ?These are people who have joined the Green Party - they haven't joined Plaid Cymru. Plaid Cymru and the Welsh Greens have a similar stance on environmental issues so it is ?unfortunate? the fact that tactical voting would have made sense in some constituencies does not seem to have resonated in the higher echelons of the Welsh Greens!
