MANX LANGUAGE - UNESCO COMMENT IN GAELG VIO

UNESCO recently provoked controversy amongst Manx speakers when it pronounced the Manx language extinct.

The latest edition of the Manx Gaelic newsletter, Gaelg Vio 12, contains a video report on Manx lessons being provided in a Douglas public house and is interesting because the BBC (who compiled the item) carry an interview with a spokesperson from UNESCO.

UNESCO recently provoked controversy amongst Manx speakers when it pronounced the Manx language extinct. The UNESCO spokesperson explains the rationale behind this curious statement.
