MANNIN: YN PABYR SEYR CELEBRATES LIFE OF ROLY DROWER
The Tynwald Day edition of the Mec Vannin Free Paper (Yn Paby Seyr) has been dedicated to the memory of the late Roly Drower, who died suddenly earlier this year.
The paper opens with an in-depth obituary article which sets out in detail both the background to Roly's life and also focuses on the difficulties which he faced in the last few years as he fought a solitary defence of free speech and civil liberties on the Isle of Man.
In addition to the detailed obituary the paper reproduces a variety of his work over the years, including his memorable speech at the 2005 National Illiam Dhone Commemoration at Hango Hill. See;
