The Celtic League has been working hard to develop its relations internationally, in line with the League's AGM resolution passed in September 2007 :

«For the Celtic League to build on its links, develop cooperation and establish new contacts with other organisations and groups internationally that work to promote the Celtic languages, culture and identity of the Celtic people e.g. Office of Gaelic Affairs in Nova Scotia.»

Over the last few months the Cornish Branch has developed new contacts with organisations and individuals in Australia, the USA and even India and, in some cases, have been cooperating with them directly.

In one such case in the US, Branch members have been in contact with the organisers of a Celtic festival being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico and have persuaded them to introduce a more prominent Cornish element to their agenda. Cornish flags and other Cornish memorabilia have been provided by the Branch for the festival, including past copies of Carn< and the organisers have promised to advertise the League free of charge in their brochure.

The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival and Highland Games on Saturday May 17, 2008 held at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park has been billed as a celebration of culture from all the Celtic countries with Celtic, music, sports and dance being provided. Attendance last year was in excess of 10 000 people with the event also being a favourite with a number of US politicians. See (voir le site) for more information.

As an organisation, the League is also continuing to strengthen its links with Nova Scotia, Canada and, as reported previously, is now a full member of Comhairle na Gaidhlig/Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia. See (voir le site) for more information.

The League has always had an active branch in the United States with officials based in the New York area.
