NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE The Celtic League Annual General meeting will take place in Dublin on the weekend of 10th-12th April 2015. The venue for the meeting is the Headquarters of Conradh na Gaeilge, 6 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 (just off St Stephens Green). The AGM will approve the minutes of the previous AGM, hear reports from General Council Officers and consider a range of resolutions. A session will also be devoted to the continuing publication of CARN (the Celtic League journal) and also the further development of the CL internet sites and social media initiatives. Voting is strictly limited to accredited delegates, with each National branch having three votes including the National Secretary plus single votes for external branches (i.e. London, International, America and Patagonia). In addition all General Council Officers have an individual vote. Non-voting delegates are welcome to attend and can of course contribute fully in debate. At this stage it is anticipated that all National branches will have delegations attending and it is hoped that some of our colleagues from the Americas will be able to contribute via Skype (a facility that has been used successfully at the last three AGMs). Further detail about the AGM can be obtained from the Celtic League General Secretary (GS), Rhisiart Talebot: rhisiart.talebot@gmail.com National branches and General Council Officers submitting reports should forward a copy without delay to the GS for inclusion in the AGM dossier. An agenda for the meeting will be circulated to branches shortly and draft resolutions will also be forwarded to National branches and General Council Officers ahead of the meeting. (Please note the closing date for the submission of resolutions was Friday 27th of February ? Emergency resolutions may be considered for inclusion only at the discretion of the Convenor and subject to a suspension of League Standing Orders).
