Alarming Increase in Nuclear Safety Events on Clyde

Communiqué de presse publié le 2/03/15 7:10 dans Europe par pour

NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE There has been an alarming increase in the number of ?nuclear safety events? at the nuclear submarine and weapons base on the Clyde. Questions from Scottish Nationalist Party, Defence spokesman, Angus Robertson MP have elicited the astonishing admission that incidents are up by 50%. In 2012-13 there were 105 ?events? as opposed to 68 in the previous year. The MOD is attempting to downplay the significance of the data saying that the system records ?all events, however seemingly minor?. However the obvious attempt to spin the bad information as ?minor? in nature will not wash. Any safety related events in a facility of this type which insanely was sited close to one of the largest population centre?s in Scotland has got to be bad news and in this instance many ?events? appear to be related to the reactors that power the Trident ballistic missile submarines and the smaller nuclear Hunter-Killer Class submarines based at the complex. The full question and answer can be accessed at this link (albeit there is a dearth of specific detail on the ?events?): (voir le site) J B Moffatt (Mr) Director of Information 01/03/15 (Please note that replies to correspondence received by the League and posted on CL News are usually scanned hard copies.
