The magic of the language
Two stories about the revival of Gaelic one from the Economist today and another from the other side of the Atlantic about the fortunes of Gaelic in Nova Scotia.
The Economist article opens with an innovative initiative to promote the language at Inverness Airport and the article also concludes with a brief though positive mention of the fortunes of the Manx language in recent years (link):
Meanwhile an item on radio station 957 Nova Scotia from a few weeks ago focuses on how the language is being revived there (link):
The Celtic League had a branch in Cape Breton for some years and still maintains contact with those promoting the Gaelic language there.
