Two stories about the revival of Gaelic one from the Economist today and another from the other side of the Atlantic about the fortunes of Gaelic in Nova Scotia.

The Economist article opens with an innovative initiative to promote the language at Inverness Airport and the article also concludes with a brief though positive mention of the fortunes of the Manx language in recent years (link):

The Celtic League had a branch in Cape Breton for some years and still maintains contact with those promoting the Gaelic language there.

The Celtic League established in 1961 has branches in the six Celtic Countries including our own Mannin branch. It promotes cooperation between the countries and campaigns on a range of political, cultural and environmental matters. It highlights human rights abuse, military activity and socio-economic issues
