NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE The family of the crew members lost when the Breton Motor Fishing Vessel Bugaled Breizh sank off the Lizard in January 2004 are to make one final effort to get legal redress. There is a firm belief amongst both the families and those who have studied the disaster that it was linked to submarine activity during a NATO exercise at the time. We reported some days ago that the appeals court in the City of Rennes had decided to dismiss the case and it was assumed that meant all further legal avenues were closed. However, one of our Breton contacts advises that the aggrieved families will make a final appeal via the Court of Cassation in Paris . Obviously we hope that the families will be successful and whatever the outcome Celtic League will continue to offer moral and public support to them.
