NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE
The Celtic League AGM (held at Karaez in Brittany at the weekend) has called for an `acceptable funding scheme' to be agreed for Irish language voluntary groups.
The text of a resolution to this effect, adopted unanimously by the meeting, is set out below:
This AGM calls on the North ?South Ministerial Council and Foras na Gaeilge to ensure that discussions now under way for an alternative funding scheme for the Irish Language voluntary sector leads to a scheme which is acceptable to them and provides the necessary continuum in funding frothier very necessary activities based on their strategic and action plans.
