If there was a `Nobel Prize for hypocrisy' the Isle of Man government would probably be a prime contender.

The governments Home Affairs Department is currently consulting on a new Criminal Justice Bill prior to pushing it through Tynwald.

Part 10 of the Bill will `beef-up' penalties for improper use of telecommunications systems.

However the most mysterious and high profile (still unresolved controversy) of recent years was the Isle of Man governments decision to allow the tapping of some of its own police officers phones!
