Cooish (Manx Language) Week in November

The now well established Cooish (Manx Language) Week gets underway on 7th November.

As with previous years there is a varied programme starting with a language weekend at Eary Cushlin, near Dalby (On the south-west coast) on the 7th and 8th. The language weekend is suitable for beginners, improvers and advanced speakers.

There will also be a concert at the Centenary centre at Peel on Friday, 13th featuring some talented musicians from Scotland and Ireland.

During the week their will be a programme of music and language concerts and workshops.

The finale of the week long events will be the Ned Madrell lecture. This year the lecture will be delivered (in English) by Jenefer Lowe from the Cornish Language Partnership on Saturday 14th.
