A standard written form for of the Cornish language has now been agreed upon and represents an historic moment in the history of the Cornish language revival.

After almost two years of work has resulted in a common consensus between the different language groups and although all expressed some reservations about the form chosen, all agreed that they would be recommending it to their members for the purposes of formal education and public life. It is widely hoped that now the language will be increasing, adopted and used by schools and public authorities, many of which have argued in the past that, until a standard written form is agreed upon, they are unlikely to change their policy.

At the League's AGM in Cymru/Wales in 2007 the following resolution was passed :

«The Celtic League looks forward to the creation of a bilingual Cornish and English preschool and supports attempts to establish the same through cooperation with individuals and other groups.»

The General Secretary has been working actively behind the scenes with other interested individuals and preschool movements in the Celtic countries, over the last few months, in an attempt to make this a reality.
